Criteria. Your chair should be able to be adjusted to any needs regarding height. The worker`s elbows should be able to sit higher than the surface of the desk, while the fingers should point downward. The seat should be able to be tilted forwards and backwards. This will allow the most versatility possible. In order to keep good posture, there should be a lumbar support on the chair. There should also be a backrest that can be moved around to the satisfaction of the user.
Sales people often like to stand when making phone calls and pitching to prospective clients, so speak to sales people that you know to see how they adapt to standing at work. It takes a few weeks to get used to the standing desk. Once you are used to it you won`t even realise you are standing anymore.
Monitor Arms. If you have a desktop computer at your desk, you will soon notice that a great addition to height adjustable workstations is a monitor arm that is specifically designed to hold your computer monitor. The great thing about these arms is that they can move not only up and down, but side to side as well. If you mount your monitor on one of these arms, you will not have to worry about carefully moving it when you switch between sitting and standing at your desk as it is designed to help you do the job quickly and easily.
