Criteria. Your chair should be able to be adjusted to any needs regarding height. The worker`s elbows should be able to sit higher than the surface of the desk, while the fingers should point downward. The seat should be able to be tilted forwards and backwards. This will allow the most versatility possible. In order to keep good posture, there should be a lumbar support on the chair. There should also be a backrest that can be moved around to the satisfaction of the user.
Some of these "sit to stand" desks can get pretty expensive, so it is a good idea to check all of your options and find something that is right for you. Standing desks can adjust either manually (the whole table is on a hinge) or electronically, where at the push of a button, the entire desk can elevate or descend to your exact height and needs.
Storage. One of the most important things for all desks is storage options. While most height adjustable workstations will include at least a shelf or two, this is not always enough for everyone.
