Storage. One of the most important things for all desks is storage options. While most height adjustable workstations will include at least a shelf or two, this is not always enough for everyone. Some people have a great deal of paperwork or office supplies that they need to keep by their desk. That is why there are several shelving options available, including a great side shelf that you simply add to the side of your standing desk, allowing you to enjoy your extra storage. This is a great way to add extra storage to your desk for your important paperwork or even your computer tower if need be.
Of course, standing all day in one position is almost as bad as sitting all day. Standing desks can be equipped with high stools and footrests to allow you to rest your feet and legs occasionally. As with a normal sit-down desk, it is also important to move around, such as by taking a few minutes to stretch every hour or taking brief walks around the office.
